Patricia Rose has been an active member of the Salisbury music community for 15 years! She moved to the area in 2010 to pursue her education in arts at Salisbury University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music as well as Bachelor of Arts in 3-Dimensional Studio Art. Patricia began her music studies at Salisbury University with a primary focus on cello and viola, but her curiosity drove her toward music composition where she spent an equal amount of effort, attention, and dedication. She had the privilege to play, learn, and collaborate with several esteemed musicians and composers during her studies at SU which drastically shaped the musician and artist she is today.
Patricia owns and operates a lesson studio in the heart of downtown Salisbury, Rose String Studios. She offers private lessons on cello, viola, and violin as well as ensemble opportunities for the greater Salisbury community. Patricia is an active performer on the Eastern Shore. She often plays with the Community Players of Salisbury, is a long-term member of the Salisbury Symphony Orchestra, a founding member of the Salisbury String Trio, and a highly engaged freelance performer.
When Patricia isn’t teaching lessons or playing with her favorite ensembles, you can find her teaching pottery classes at Amused Studios in Fruitland! And on those nice relaxing days where Patricia ISN’T working, she can be found at her homestead on Deal Island enjoying the beach with her husband and two sons, tending to her 30+ chickens, or wandering outdoors with her big ol’ pup.
