Emily Cook is a dedicated music educator, currently working as an orchestra director in Wicomico County Public Schools. She grew up on the eastern shore, attending the local Stephen Decatur High School in Berlin, Maryland. Emily received her Bachelor of Science in Music Education with Cum Laude honors from Towson University and is pursuing her graduate degree in Music Education at Kent State University. Over the years, she has studied violin with Richard Leavitt, Bobbie Thamert, and Emmanuel Borowsky.
When Emily isn’t teaching, you can hear her playing in the Salisbury Symphony Orchestra, Community Players of Salisbury, and even fiddlin’ around at The Irish Penny Pub. Emily lives in Salisbury with her seven plants, many throw pillows, and a variety of scented candles. She loves spending time with her family, exploring the outdoors, finding peace through practicing yoga, and feeding her competitive edge playing pickleball.
